Sheet metal cutting and bending

Quoting software for sheet metal cutting and bending in one order

The part is cut and then goes to the press brake. In MakerCutt both steps stay in the same quote and on the same work order, each in its machine’s queue, and the lead time includes both.

How bending is priced

  • Bending set up as a service (per bend or per part) or as a machine (press brake with a machine hour rate)
  • Number of bends, bend length, and thickness used as pricing variables
  • Press brake setup charged once per batch
  • Cutting, bending, welding, and painting combined in the same PDF quote

Two machines, one lead time

Cutting goes to the laser or plasma queue and bending goes to the press brake queue. The order’s lead time adds both steps and respects each machine’s productive hours.

Lead time and queue by machine

When each machine is available and when the order will be ready.

FAQ

Does the system read bends from the file?

The flat-pattern DXF defines the cutting. The number of bends is entered in the quote (or in the saved product) and is used to price the bending.

Can I quote bending only, with the customer’s material?

Yes. You can quote the bending service only and mark the material as supplied by the customer.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. It’s a 7-day trial with full access and no card. Upload your own DXF files, add your materials, and see the calculated price before deciding.
